The National Pet Show 2017

We’d like to say a massive THANK YOU to The National Pet Show & More Than teams for inviting us to come along to the show. Piper had the best time & we both had a really positive experience at our first indoor show!

The National Pet Show was held at the NEC in Birmingham, November 4th & 5th. It’s another one of the Super Vet’s events. We’ve been to one of his other events, Dog Fest, so we knew we would have an amazing time.

Whilst The National Pet Show doesn’t allow the general public to bring their pets with them, it’s a perfect excuse to leave them at home and do a bit of retail therapy on their behalf.

There’s such a variety of trade stands to browse around. Some of our favourites were the Kyon treats which were making their UK debut, all the way from Greece! The peanut butter treats smelt delicious- almost good enough for me to eat. You can save 20% when using code KYONUK (valid until 30/11/2017). Huxley Hound treats where also a huge hit with Piper, because guess what? They have a carrot flavoured treat! If you don’t already know carrot is Piper’s all time favourite snack. The dehydrated vegetable treats are actually better than feeding them raw as well, as they provide extra minerals & nutrients- win win! We got some lovely bandanas too! A Remembrance/poppy themed one for Armistice Day from Albie’s Boutique & some lovely Christmas themed ones from our friends at Arton & Co. There were so many other lovely stalls there that we really would recommend having a visit yourself next year- we could take about them all for hours!

The MoreThan stand was such great fun. It included this super Rehydration Station, so all the thirsty dogs could have a drink. There were some different games for children to play with, as well as face painting too! The MoreThan team were more than happy to answer any questions that we had about their pet insurance policies they had vet nurses & insurance specialists to talk to. We were given a goodie bag which had so many useful things in- including a poo bag holder & these information cards:

We even got to meet fellow Peach & Pooch brand rep- Sir Kevin the Chow. It was so nice to finally meet in person! Alfie Bear was there too, so we got to see his adorable furry face again & we even made some new insta-friends!
Piper was thrilled to also get to meet our Super-Fan Daisy, who runs the account @oscartheawesomedog. It’s always super exciting to be stopped by people who recognise us!

We’d certainly recommend a trip to the National Pet Show next year if you get the chance! There’s so much to see & do. The variety of animals attending is vast- from bald cats, to mini ponies to adorable tiny mice.

We’re so grateful to have been able to attend the show. #NationalPetShow #MoreThan #NPS #WeDoMoreThan!

Thank you,
E & P x
