A while ago, we found ourselves in York City Centre with some time to kill, so we decided to go and get a bite to eat!
I’d seen in the past that Lucky Days Cafe, on Parliament Street, has a big “dog friendly” sticker on the door so we thought we’d give them a try! When we arrived we were seated immediately and the service was efficient throughout!
The decor was bright & welcoming- very clean. We sat downstairs so never saw what the seating arrangements were upstairs, but there was plenty of space where we were sat and it didn’t feel cramped. The cafe offered a variety of tables & sofas to sit on.
There was plenty to choose from on the menu, with it all sounding very flavoursome. Also, there were some great vegetarian & vegan options and they cater for gluten-free too. I had a tuna sandwich, with salad and sweet potato wedges. It was probably one of the tastiest tuna sandwiches I have ever eaten! The portion sizes were very generous.
All the cakes looked divine. The variety was huge, ranging from cakes, to tarts, to scones. In fact, they even had their own scone recipe cards for you to buy & take home!
Lucky Days is certainly somewhere we would recommend visiting. The prices were affordable & the food super tasty. What more could you want?!
Thanks for reading.
