Bang in Wells, Norfolk

We stumbled upon this boutique little cafe quite by accident, but I’m so glad we did. Bang in Wells was nestled away right at the top of Staithe Street, away from the hustle and bustle of the quay and main tourist area. Bang is dog friendly throughout, with numerous water bowls dotted about.

The cafe is beautifully decorated with a bright, contemporary feel. I particularly love the use of the orange colour scheme. Attention to detail really has been thought about and it pays off. The whole ambiance of the cafe is warm and welcoming. I can imagine Bang is a huge hit with the locals and the tourists who are lucky enough to stumble across it.

The cafe even had an outdoor eating area, which was a beautiful sun trap when we visited in June. I particularly loved the large, covered seating area in the courtyard, perfect for large parties or families.

The food was delicious. I particularly loved how they served an all day breakfast menu. We stopped by for a late brunch, and this suited our needs perfectly. There was a generous selection to choose on the menu, as well as a number of freshly baked cakes, scones and the specials on the board. Not all the choices were your typical “cafe” food either, there were quite a number of quirkier choices.

Be sure to stop by Bang if you’re ever in Wells Next The Sea. I really would highly recommend it. They even have some rooms available, and whilst I haven’t seen them and therefore can’t comment, from what I’ve seen on the website and the reviews I’ve read, I don’t think you’d be let down if you decided to stay the night. More info here.

Thanks for reading,
E & P x
