So today we did something that we’ve been wanting to do for AGES- we went to a dog friendly cinema screening at City Screen, York. The film on offer was Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald. A must see, especially if you’re a fan of Harry Potter.
The cinema, which belongs to the Picture House chain, were so welcoming & accommodating to the dogs needs. There were plenty of water bowls dotted around the cinema & they even handed out complimentary dog treats! The dogs are invited to sit on the seats (which Piper loved!) the only stipulation is that you must cover the seat with a blanket, which they provide. I think this is a really great idea as it helps to keep pet hair contained and will limit the impact on future cinema goers who may suffer for pet allergies.
Piper really seemed to enjoy the whole experience, although I’m pretty sure she struggled to keep up with the film’s storyline, lol! I think the highlights for her were getting to meet new friends, a new place to have a nap & of course a free supply of treats!
Piper would very much like to recommend a trip to a Picture House Dog Friendly Screening. It’s certainly a change & something not many would assume could be dog friendly.
A big thank you to the City Screen York team for allowing the dog friendly screenings. You guys rock!
Thanks for reading.
